In seiner Soundperformance verwebt Cris Koch Songskizzen, Sequenzen und Fragmente in offenen und weiten Improvisationen, die er per Gitarre in den Raum überträgt, um darüber seine rastlose Stimme zu singen, zu flüstern, zu hauchen, zu schreien. Sein Sound wurzelt in den frühen Aufnahmen von PJ Harvey, Nirvana oder Sonic Youth und führt zugleich über deren Grenzen hinaus. Versatzstücke aus Jazz und Blues sowie Elemente aus Punk und Noise strömen ineinander und münden in einer kolossalen, neuen Form des Grunge - ein existenzialistischer, alles durchdringender und unberechenbarer Sound, der seine Notwendigkeit und seine Wucht gerade LIVE entfaltet. Cris Koch arbeitet als Künstler in den Bereichen Zeichnung, Malerei, Objektkunst, Installation und Performance.

In his sound performance, Cris Koch weaves song sketches, sequences, and fragments in open and vast improvisations transmitted into space via guitar, the foundation for his restless voice singing, whispering, breathing, and screaming. His sound roots in early PJ Harvey, Nirvana, or Sonic Youth records while breaking their borders. Samples of Jazz and Blues as well as Punk and Noise converge and yield a colossal and new form of Grunge - an existential, all-penetrating, and incalculable sound, specifically unfolding its necessity and impact LIVE. Cris Koch works as an artist in drawing, painting, object art, installation, and performance.
